Hello! I'm Esther, a TEFL-certified English tutor and IELTS preparation specialist with 4+ years of experience teaching English to secondary school students and tutoring ESL learners online. I have a BA in Linguistics and French from the University of Ibadan, and I'm currently completing an MA in Computational Linguistics. That means I understand not only how English works, but also why certain parts trip learners up, from pronunciation to grammar to essay structure. If you're preparing for IELTS, we'll start by reviewing your target score and where you stand in each section: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. From there, I build each lesson around your weakest areas, with clear strategies, timed practice, honest feedback on your writing, and mock speaking sessions so exam day feels familiar. If you're not taking an exam, I also teach general English, with a focus on confident everyday conversation. As a native Yoruba speaker, I know how much confidence matters when you're speaking a language that isn't your first, so my lessons are relaxed, friendly, and patient.
