About me

My name is Carol. I am from Spain. I have been teaching English and Spanish classes to children, teenagers and adults in Madrid for more than ten years at language schools and at private classes. My current accredited English level is C2 of Cambridge (CPE). I have successfully prepared students for the following official tests and exams: Cambridge (PET, FCE, CAE), TOEFL, TOEIC. I teach my classes in the language that the student wishes to learn, making use of interactive resources to get the most out of it and bring dynamism and richness to the learning process. These are fully customized classes. In the first contact, I assess the level of my students, also getting an idea of what their interests are (music, books, movies...). Didactically exploiting these interests is very important to establish a direct connection with the real world. An activity book is no longer enough, although a strong grammar and vocabulary basis is necessary, and you will find that in my classes as well. What I seek is to go a step further and give the student tools to interact with an increasingly interconnected environment. Of course, these tools will help you to achieve satisfactory academic results as well. For me, it is essential that the student feels comfortable so that he/she can see language learning as a tool to achieve the objectives that are proposed and not as an enemy or as something that must be assimilated by simple obligation. My method could be summarized in setting concrete objectives, dynamic development of the class based on the abilities and interests of my student, exploitation of interactive resources to establish contact with the real world and search for effectiveness.

Estoy estudiando intensivamente inglés un par de semanas con Carol como profesora y está superando mis expectativas. Durante las sesiones va detectando mis puntos flojos y trabajamos en eso en detalle. La sensación es muy positiva y me genera mucha confianza para afrontar el CAE. La recomiendo encarecidamente como profesora.

Carolina es una persona y profesora excepcional. Mi camino con Carolina ha sido de dos años, durante los cuales hemos tenido clases prácticamente cada semana, sumando 100 sesiones juntos. Cuando contacté con Carolina, mi objetivo era mejorar mi “speaking” y gracias a ella he notado un progreso significativo en mi fluidez y confianza al hablar inglés. Carolina es una persona excepcionalmente inteligente, responsable, comprometida y empática. Súper recomendada. Me está ayudando a prepararme el exámen de C1 y de momento vamos muy bien. Sobretodo estamos trabajando el speaking y he de decir que con Carol estoy aprendiendo mucho vocabulario para poder tener una conversación formal.
