About me

HI :) My name is Ana Martínez, student of the Law Program at Universidad Simón Bolívar, Barranquilla. I am an active member, Elite category, of the research group of my university. I have been an academic monitor for 4 years. I am part of the Academic Excellence Program and I offer accompaniment and support to the students of Universidad Simón Bolívar. I started the degree program in foreign language at the Universidad del Atlántico, I studied English, French and German (languages that I know in a basic way). I finished the English course as a free course at the same university about five years ago. English is a very interesting language, it is not difficult to handle if we have good disposition and desire to learn, the most important thing is to practice with good attitude and regularity. I like to work with visual aids such as slides and practice with exercises that allow me to handle grammar. I also like to work with readings, this way we increase our vocabulary. The classes are handled from different moments, a first moment of review to remember what was worked in the previous class; a moment for the practice of grammar, initially an explanation of the different grammatical structures and development of exercises; a third moment for the development of reading exercises, so we can work the ability of reading comprehension and acquire a wide vocabulary; and finally a space to talk about a specific topic, so we can improve the ability to speak. Su método didáctico y sencillo ayuda a mejorar el entendimiento sobre el inglés como idioma que debe adquirirse de forma natural dejando claro que es muy importante primero el escuchar, leer, escribir y hablar correctamente en inglés antes de avanzar de nivel, sin duda eso nos da confianza para obtener resultados satisfactorios en nuestro aprendizaje.
