Hello! I'm Yuwen Su, a certified Chinese language teacher. I hold a bachelor's degree from New Jersey, USA, and am currently pursuing a master's degree in Education. With 3 years of teaching experience and over 1,000 hours of instruction, I specialize in teaching beginners and sharing the richness of Chinese culture. Since 2017, my family has been hosting international students, helping 26 students from around the world learn Chinese. This experience has given me deep insights into the common challenges Chinese language learners face during their learning journey. Having traveled to 9 countries across 4 continents, I have developed a deep understanding of cultural differences, allowing me to communicate fluently in English. I am also currently learning basic Spanish. My passion for travel has deepened my appreciation for cultural exchange. I tailor my lessons to each student's background and goals. One of my beginner students successfully passed the HSK Level 5 exam in 2 years. With my guidance, my students gain the confidence to use Chinese for travel, work, study, and staying connected with family. My classes are relaxed and enjoyable, going beyond textbooks to incorporate current trends and traditional Chinese cultural elements. Through pictures, videos, internet slang, and social media memes, learning Chinese becomes both fun and relevant to daily life. I look forward to starting our Chinese learning journey together!
