Hi guys! I am Vivan, currently pursuing a master degree in the University of Warwick. With a Bachelor's degree from Nanjing University (Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages), I have over two years of experience teaching Chinese to students ranging from ages 10 to 30. My teaching expertise spans foundational Chinese education to advanced language proficiency development. Throughout my career, I have cultivated a relaxed and lively classroom atmosphere, fostering an environment conducive to learning. My approach to teaching emphasizes patience, active listening, and effective communication, ensuring that students feel supported and encouraged in their language learning journey. In addition to my teaching experience, I have gained valuable insights through various life experiences. These include supporting education initiatives in remote mountainous areas, leading a drama art troupe, and participating in cultural exchange programs such as studying abroad in Finland. These diverse experiences have not only enriched my personal growth but have also equipped me with a deep understanding of different cultures and perspectives. Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge of Chinese language, culture, and history with others. My goal as an educator is to empower students to achieve their academic and personal aspirations while experiencing the joy and satisfaction of learning.
