Hello, my name is Slindile, and I am an experienced ESL teacher with a passion for helping students learn and grow. Having taught at Umhlali Prep School, I had the privilege of working with enthusiastic Grade 5 students. The joy of witnessing their progress and curiosity was truly rewarding. In my classroom, I fostered an engaging and interactive environment. I utilized a variety of materials to enhance learning. Here’s a glimpse of what I brought to my lessons: Audio Sounds: I believe in the power of auditory learning. I incorporated audio clips, pronunciation exercises, and dialogues to improve listening skills. Whether it was a captivating story or an authentic conversation, my students benefited from this multisensory approach. Reading Books: Literature opens doors to imagination and language development. I carefully selected age-appropriate reading materials, encouraging comprehension, vocabulary expansion, and critical thinking. We explored everything from classic tales to contemporary stories. YouTube for Educational Purposes: The digital age allows us to access a wealth of resources. I curated educational YouTube videos related to grammar, culture, and real-world English usage. These visual aids made learning dynamic and relatable. Beyond the classroom, I’ve also ventured into online teaching through my business, ESL Harmony. Guiding students from diverse backgrounds has enriched my teaching practice. I’ve honed my skills in adapting to different learning styles, time zones, and cultural nuances. Now, as I look forward to joining Classgap, I’m excited about the possibilities.
