Hello! ❤️ I am from Hebei, China, and I am pursuing a Master's degree in Education at Columbia University. 😊 I love reading, travelling and sports. I used to be a long-distance runner for 8 years. Language learning is something that requires persistence, yet I can make it much more engaging! I hold the IPA Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages and have extensive online teaching experience in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. I am proficient in diverse multimedia teaching methods. I am familiar with the HSK series textbooks and can build a systematic Chinese learning framework tailored to students' proficiency levels, covering vocabulary, grammar, exam preparation and the improvement of comprehensive abilities. I specialize in teaching children picture book reading, skilled at using picture book reading software and supporting classroom instruction with short video resources that come with textbooks. My teaching focuses on oral practice. I am good at motivating students to speak up and helping them overcome the fear of speaking. I can flexibly adapt to learners of all age groups. I design fun lessons for children, and I am also skilled at tutoring adult self-learners, helping adults make good use of textbooks and study efficiently on their own. I create immersive classes with a variety of multimedia materials to consolidate foundational knowledge and strengthen listening and speaking skills. I adhere to teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, customizing learning plans based on learners' goals to balance interest and learning outcomes, and help students build confidence in expressing themselves in Chinese. I really love teaching. Seeing many students make progress to varying degrees is my motivation for work. I have taught for nearly 1000 hours on other online platforms.
