Hi! I’m April, a native Chinese speaker from China, currently living in Italy. Unlike many traditional language teachers, I didn’t learn to teach Chinese from textbooks—I learned it through my own experience of learning languages. English is my second language, Italian is my third, and I’m still learning every day. I know what it’s like to feel stuck, to make mistakes, and to finally have those “aha!” moments. That’s why I teach Chinese the way I wish I had been taught. In addition to teaching Chinese, I have years of international business experience and hold a double master’s degree in International Management from China and Italy. Having worked with professionals from different countries, I understand the challenges of cross-cultural communication. If you’re learning Chinese for your career or business, I can also help you communicate more naturally and confidently in professional settings. In my lessons, we don’t just memorize vocabulary or study grammar. We learn how to actually use Chinese in real-life situations. From your very first lesson, you’ll start speaking practical Chinese that you can use in conversations—whether you’re ordering food, making friends, traveling, working, or doing business. Every student has a different reason for learning Chinese, so every learning plan is different. Whether you’re preparing for a trip to China, planning to study or work there, learning Chinese for business, or simply exploring a fascinating language and culture, I’ll design lessons around your goals, interests, and pace. We’ll discuss all of this in our first lesson and build a personalized learning plan together. I teach students of all levels—from complete beginners who don’t know a single word of Chinese to advanced learners looking to improve specific skills, such as business Chinese, professional communication, or conversational fluency. My lessons are practical, interactive, and encouraging. I create a relaxed environment where you’re not afraid to make mistakes, because mistakes are an essential part of learning. My goal is to help you build confidence so that you can understand Chinese, speak naturally, and enjoy using the language in everyday life.
