I began my journey in international Chinese teaching during my second year of postgraduate studies. After graduating, I spent six years teaching Chinese in training institutions, focusing on one-on-one courses. Besides teaching Chinese, I enjoy social Latin dances like salsa and bachata. At the beginning of 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, dancing became impossible for all of us. In response, Chinese salsa teachers gathered online and offered numerous dance courses for enthusiasts across the country. I benefited greatly from these online classes, and my dancing skills improved rapidly. These instructors brought light and hope to my life during that challenging time, helping me maintain a positive attitude.
This experience also inspired me to pursue online Chinese teaching.
