I am good at teaching any ages student , my students are variety ages from 5-80 years old. my class is start with a very simple way but sounds hard ---it is writing in Chinese , so make every one has confidence to learn about the language. Then, it will be separate to different level learning about different aspects of the common words and sentences in daily life we normally use. such as number , food , weather , natural , plants , animal , people , color ,etc... At same time always has fun stories , Chinese Culture and idioms will come along with the class. Just have a fun and challenge yourself and then you find you can speaking and listening then reading and writing in Chinese!
