During my honours year, I carried a full course load while working part-time and I kept my grade average at a B. Because of my experiences, I've learned a great deal about discipline and time management, two skills that are crucial in the teaching profession. My ability to prioritize tasks has improved greatly as a result of juggling a variety of responsibilities in my personal, professional, and familial lives.
As a member of a student psychology honours group, I had the chance to participate in a full year of field experience during my fourth year as a student psychologist and psychometric assessor at University of Fort Hare/Khayalethu Special School in East London. Planning, evaluating, and executing engaging courses for a class with a range of needs was my responsibility.
I am able to modify my teaching strategies to meet the needs of
each individual student. Another ability that is essential to becoming a successful teacher is problem solving. Experience has taught me that there are usually multiple approaches to an issue. I will speak with experts in the subject to acquire fresh perspectives and consult current research if I am unable to resolve a problem utilizing my own resources.
