Spécialisée dans les difficultés en lecture (ayant exercé l'orthophonie pendant 13 ans, après avoir enseigné les lettres classiques pendant 9 ans), je propose du soutien pour les enfants de CP-CE1 qui peinent à entrer dans la lecture.
Mon approche concernera uniquement le déchiffrage, avec une méthode progressive (lettre, syllabe simple, syllabe complexe, mot court régulier, mot long régulier…). Mon but est que votre enfant puisse lire ET comprendre ce qu'il lit. La vitesse de lecture n'est pas une priorité : la précision et la compréhension sont primordiales.
Les mots irréguliers les plus fréquents seront également abordés, afin que l'automatisation de leur lecture ne soit plus un frein pour la compréhension.
En bref, je m'adapte à votre enfant, à son niveau et à son besoin.
Je propose également, pour des étudiants ou des adultes dont le français n'est pas la langue maternelle, un entraînement à la lecture à voix haute (prononciation, fluidité), avec une attention particulière à l'accent.
Nous lirons des textes que je choisirai ou que vous proposerez, et je vous guiderai pour l'articulation des sons que vous avez du mal à produire. Je vous indiquerai comment positionner votre bouche (langue, lèvres, ouverture…) pour que vous articuliez chaque phonème correctement.
N'hésitez pas, quand vous me contacterez, à me dire quelles sont vos difficultés, quelle est votre langue maternelle, et à m'indiquer votre niveau de français ainsi que les méthodes que vous avez utilisées jusqu'à présent. Cela m'aidera à personnaliser mes cours.

Hello, my name is Linda.
I live in a town called Midrand, which is in Johannesburg, South Africa. I moved to Johannesburg about 18 years ago, from a small town on the South East Coastal town of Southern Africa called Hibberdene.
I spent most of my time childhood enjoying the outdoors. My passions from as far back as I can recall have been helping others, outdoors, music, reading and animals.
I wanted to be a preschool teacher from a very young age and went on to get this qualification in 1998. I had the honour of teaching many wonderful young students who taught me that teaching and assisting others was definitely a passion of mine.
After teaching many students privately, I learnt about teaching English as a second language and went on to get my CELTA qualification in 2013. The best feeling as a teacher is seeing how another person’s eyes light up when they have understood what you are teaching them. This has encouraged my desire to teach and assist as many people as I can.
I have worked with students of most ages, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and with various learning disabilities. I always do my best to work within each student's abilities and requirements to get the best results.
My passion for animals has meant I have always had many animals in my home, who are like my family.
