Hi! I’m Sara, a Brazilian Portuguese teacher from Minas Gerais countryside. I’m passionate about showing students the real Brazil through our language, culture, music, and everyday life. In my classes you’ll feel like you’re sitting at a friend’s kitchen table, not in a classroom. When I’m not teaching, I love exploring Brazilian music, writing creative content, and sharing stories from my roots. I teach real-world Brazilian Portuguese, the kind you won’t find in textbooks. One hour a week is never enough to truly learn a language; real fluency comes from constant exposure and immersion. Grammar rules alone won’t help you understand how Brazilians actually think and speak. That’s why my classes are built around real-life situations, slang, humor, silence, and everything in between. As a lifelong language learner myself - and highly critical of traditional methods - I know exactly what works and what doesn’t. My own “PhD” is in creating fresh, effective ways to immerse students in the living language, thousands of creative ideas that no textbook ever thought of. Our material is life itself. Your first class is an open door, step in and let’s discover Portuguese the way Brazilians really live it. I’m always open to suggestions, but the core will always be exposure and immersion, because that’s the only way it actually works.
