Me gradué como abogada, traductora literaria y técnico-científica en inglés y, recientemente, como traductora pública en inglés. Por lo general, la bibliografía es variada; utilizo un libro de texto, un libro de ejercicios y un cuadernillo con material adicional, como historias, vídeos, podcasts, canciones, artículos de actualidad y páginas web para fortalecer y practicar todas las habilidades. Además, si el estudiante lo desea, puede proponer material de su interés para que lo analicemos juntos. Al mismo tiempo, todas las clases, independientemente del nivel del alumno, incluyen dictados y escucha activa de películas o situaciones cotidianas e incluyen práctica oral para que el contacto con el idioma sea lo más natural posible. Las clases son personalizadas y bien organizadas, con actividades planificadas. Me aseguro de que el aprendizaje sea entretenido, eficaz y motivador. Por otra parte traduzco en los ámbitos del turismo, la hostelería, la gastronomía y el medio ambiente. He traducido, tanto de forma independiente como en una institución pública, de forma directa e inversa, varios documentos, como currículos, guías, folletos, cuestionarios, comunicaciones y programas de actividades, actas, resúmenes de entrevistas, horarios, noticias, cartas y/o correos electrónicos.

Hello! I am Kyla Jhorge Andrade. I am a senior BA Language and Literature student from University of the Philippines Baguio. I have extensive offline English teaching experiences. In 2020 to 2022, I was an English tutor to elementary to high school students in our neighborhood, teaching them mainly grammar and reading. In 2023, I taught English literacy to Grade 3 students in Springhills Elementary School for 50 hours as part of our Literacy Training Service for NSTP. Last year 2025, I completed 100 hours for my internship at Prenza National High School where I taught English to Grade 7 students, focusing on assessing their reading aloud and comprehension skills. I also have experience as a content writer at Quizlet, where I create study guides on different English literary pieces such as Wuthering Heights, Of Mice and Men, and Beloved. Though not exactly a teaching experience, it shows my inclination on educating students around the world and my skill to turn complex information into easily understandable materials, which is exactly what ESL students need. I am a student-focused teacher, and I like to organize my lessons according to the learning objectives and needs of the student. I also tailor the lessons according to the student's age and interests. I believe that personalized learning leads to better engagement and lasting progress.
