I am a Mathematics undergraduate at the Faculty of Sciences at UNAM. I have completed 100% of my academic credits and social service requirements and I am currently working toward my degree. I have been teaching private mathematics lessons since 2018, working with students from elementary school to university level. My relationship with mathematics was not always easy. For many years, math was not a subject I particularly enjoyed, and at different stages I struggled to understand it. Because of that experience, I understand how frustrating it can be when a topic does not seem to make sense and a student starts believing that they are simply “not good at math.” My classes focus on understanding rather than memorizing formulas and procedures. I first identify what the student already understands, where the main difficulties are, and what their goal is. Then I adapt the explanations and exercises to their level and learning pace. During the lesson, we combine clear explanations, examples and guided problem solving. My goal is for students to actively participate, understand the reasoning behind each step, and gradually become able to solve problems independently. I can help with regular courses, exam preparation, specific questions, learning topics from scratch, and guided practice with exercises and homework. I teach mathematics from school level through introductory and intermediate university courses. I have also worked as a teaching assistant at UNAM's Faculty of Sciences in Linear Algebra I, Higher Algebra I and Higher Algebra II, including teaching classes, preparing and grading assignments and exams, and supporting university students.
