Gonzalo

Hi! I’m Gonzalo, an economist and university lecturer. I completed my graduate studies at Yale University and Universidad del Pacífico, where I also earned my undergraduate degree. I have more than ten years of experience teaching Economics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Statistics, and Econometrics at both undergraduate and graduate level. My classes are personalized and aim to combine economic intuition with practical problem solving. I want you to understand why a model works and how to apply it, rather than simply memorizing formulas or procedures. I adapt my explanations and teaching approach to each student’s specific needs, reinforcing the topics that I identify as particularly challenging for them. I can work with university students as well as high-school students taking Economics, including IB Economics. I can help you strengthen your understanding of key concepts and prepare for midterms, final exams, and other assessments. I am a patient and approachable teacher, and I would also say quite friendly. My goal is for you to leave each class with a strong enough understanding of the topic to tackle new problems independently.
