Hi there! My name is Edna María and I have been a Spanish and English teacher for 16 years! I'm from Colombia (South America) and I specialize in helping students confidently acquire the language through task based lessons tailored to their goals! Colombian Spanish is indeed widely appreciated for having one of the clearest pronunciation and neutral accent, making it ideal for adult learners, at any level, who want to speak clearly and be easily understood anywhere! I hold a teaching degree in Languages and a Master’s degree in Linguistics. I have worked as a Spanish and English instructor at colleges and universities in Colombia. In my lessons: • We begin each class with a conversation to assess your prior knowledge of the topic. I then introduce new vocabulary and/or review key terms through focused pronunciation drills. You will receive clear explanations of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, along with guided reading and listening activities to help reinforce what you’ve learned. • You are always encouraged to ask questions and share any doubts or concerns at any time during the lesson. I will guide you in developing the four essential language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—helping you build confidence and improve your overall language performance.
