Hey! 😁 If you’ve found my profile, you’re already one step closer to achieving your academic goals! 🎉Go you!🎉 My name is Abbie and I’m currently studying Medicine at the University of Glasgow. 👩‍🎓I have A* grade A-levels in Chemistry, Biology and Maths and 11 GCSEs at grade 8/9. 🧪As a recent high school graduate, I have first-hand experience with the curriculums being taught right know, and, therefore, I have ample, up-to-date knowledge regarding what examiners are looking for in exams, as well as the best tricks of the trade to help you throughout your own science journey! 🧑🏾‍🔬Plus, at 18, I’m only a little older than you, so I can really understand what you’re going through at the moment, and how tough it can be balancing academic work with your other life commitments. 🤹🏽 In terms of tutoring, the best reference I can provide is of my sister, who is in year 11, doing her GCSEs, and has been my tutoring prodigy over the past two years. She is currently achieving above her target grades; a target I know many students would like to work towards. 🎯 I have volunteered for two years teaching children to read and have also worked the last two years as a swimming instructor. 🏊🏻These experiences allow me to communicate with students from 3 to 16 years old and so I am very proficient in understanding and adapting to the needs of individual students. 🧠 My classes are structured around your learning objectives and the methods that work best for you. I am adaptable in terms of times and dates and I am almost always available to offer you extra support around important exams if you need it. 👩‍🏫 I plan my lessons beforehand so we can maximise our time together, and I go above and beyond for every student to help you succeed.
