Hola, mi nombre es Jacobo Rouces. Soy doctor en informática por la Universidad de Aalborg en Dinamarca (AAU), tengo un Master en informática e ingeniería por la Universidad Técnica de Dinamarca (DTU), y un grado en Ingeniería de Telecomunicación por la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). He trabajado como profesor asistente en la Universidad de Gotemburgo (GU), como investigador en inteligencia artificial y lingüística computacional, e impartiendo clases de pregrado y posgrado en programación y ciencia de datos. He supervisado y co-supervisado estudiantes de master y doctorado. Hace unos años decidí mudarme al campo para un cambio de vida, y desde entonces he trabajado como consultor y profesor autónomo en ciencia de datos, programación, lingüística computacional, y matemáticas (instituto y universidad en diferentes campos de ingeniería). Debido a mi experiencia en lingüística computacional y mi interés personal en lingüística y lenguajes, también he estado impartiendo clases de lenguas: actualmente español e inglés, tanto lenguaje general a todos los niveles como lenguaje académico.

After twenty years in the business world working as an operational analyst, I have left my cubicle behind and have pursued education. I really have made a great move for myself as I love tutoring and teaching; I get to work from my home and I get to do what I love. Working in Analytics, I worked heavily with data and databases. I think I have spent most of my working career in MS Excel and have done innumerable things with it. In my work, I was always searching for answers, and SQL is the key computer language to know when looking for data. SQL is deceptively simple and yet so powerful, and I really enjoy using it. Displaying data deserves a good data visualization tool. To complete the picture (pun), you need to visualize data using Power BI. My philosophy is that I am more of a guide than a teacher. I think the most effective learning is learning where the student is discovering their own answers and for the most part they just need a guide to point them in the right direct direction when they go astray.

See the level of understanding of the subject by the student. 2. See the type of teaching the student prefers/loves. 3. See whether the student has an understanding of all other related subjects which are required for this particular course or not. If not, teach him about all the related stuff, which may be outside of the syllabus, but is extremely useful. 4. See if the student needs any advice on how to study, manage his/her time, what is the best method of study, the importance of the current subject, etc. 5. See if the student has other problems unrelated to academics, which is harming him/her, and guide the student. So next time you see any tutor, compare his/her abilities on these parameters also. I try to create a relaxed and fun environment to teach and learn in. The class is suited for all levels of Photoshop users, from the beginner to the advanced users. For the beginner we will start off with the program layout, functions of different tools and the basic uses of them.
