John
Hello! My name is John and I am a native English speaker from South Africa.
Do you understand English, but feel nervous when speaking?
You're not alone—and that's exactly what I help my students overcome.
Over the past 7+ years, I have taught more than 25,000 online English lessons to students from all over the world, helping learners become more confident and comfortable communicating in English.
My lessons are relaxed, practical and tailored to your individual needs. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced learner, my goal is to help you speak English naturally and with confidence in real-life situations.
Together, we'll improve your fluency, pronunciation and everyday communication skills. You'll learn the words, phrases, expressions and idioms that native English speakers use every day, while also developing a better understanding of pronunciation, prepositions and collocations—areas that many English learners find challenging.
I believe that making mistakes is an essential part of learning, so you'll always find a patient, supportive and encouraging environment in my classroom. There is no pressure to be perfect. Some students progress quickly, while others need more time, and I enjoy helping every learner reach their goals at a pace that suits them.
Whether you want to:
speak English more confidently,
sound more natural in conversation,
prepare for work meetings or job interviews,
communicate more effectively while travelling, or
simply improve your everyday English,
I will guide and encourage you every step of the way.
I believe the best way to improve your English is through regular conversation, practical speaking practice, reading aloud and consistent exposure to the language. The more you use English, the more natural and enjoyable it becomes.
I hold a 120-hour TEFL certificate, qualifying me to teach English as a foreign language, and I bring years of practical online teaching experience to every lesson.
If you're looking for a patient, experienced tutor who genuinely enjoys helping students succeed, I would be delighted to work with you.
Feel free to book a lesson with me today, and let's start building your confidence in English—one conversation at a time.
