Ho iniziato ad insegnare da minorenne ad adulti e bambini in una palestra di Palermo e da là poi ho continuato fino ad un paio di anni fa. Oggi, come studentessa di Medicina a indirizzo Tecnologico (MedIT) presso l'Università degli Studi di Palermo, ho trasposto quel rigore nel campo scientifico. Il mio passaggio dal palcoscenico alla realtà clinica non è stato un vero e proprio cambio di rotta: la dedizione che mettevo nel perfezionare un movimento è la stessa che oggi applico nello studio della chirurgia e delle nuove tecnologie mediche. Ho sempre amato profondamente insegnare perché credo che la conoscenza sia un dono che brilla solo se condiviso. C’è una poesia sottile nel momento in cui un concetto complesso diventa luce negli occhi di persona e sapere di aver contribuito per me è inappagabile… è un prendersi cura dell'altro che va oltre i libri.
