Hi! I'm Yvonne, a Chinese tutor from Mainland China. Ten years ago, I was just like you—someone who could only speak their native language. Simply imagining myself speaking fluent English felt like a dream. Back then, I never would have believed that ten years later, I’d be living in Hong Kong, with a decade of study and work experience in the Western world. That’s why teaching Chinese isn’t just a job for me—it’s my passion, and also a heartfelt way to give back to the English-speaking world that once empowered me to find my own voice in a second language. Learning a new language opened the door to a much bigger world for me, and now, I truly enjoy sharing the beauty of the Chinese language and culture with friends from around the globe. I hope I can be part of your journey to a bigger world—not just as your teacher, but also as a friend.

¡Hola! Soy Yvonne, profesora de chino de China continental.

Hace diez años, yo era igual que tú: alguien que solo hablaba su lengua materna. Tan solo imaginarme hablando inglés con fluidez era un sueño. En aquel entonces, nunca habría creído que diez años después estaría viviendo en Hong Kong, con una década de estudios y experiencia laboral en el mundo occidental.

Por eso, enseñar chino no es sólo un trabajo para mí: es mi pasión y también una manera sincera de retribuir al mundo angloparlante que una vez me permitió encontrar mi propia voz en un segundo idioma.

Aprender un nuevo idioma me abrió la puerta a un mundo mucho más grande y ahora realmente disfruto compartir la belleza de la lengua y la cultura china con amigos de todo el mundo.

Espero poder ser parte de tu viaje hacia un mundo más grande, no sólo como tu maestro sino también como amigo.
