Hello! I am Kenrick, an Electronics Engineer from the University of the Philippines Diliman, and I specialize in helping students understand Mathematics, Electronics, Science, and English through clear explanations, practical examples, and personalized lessons.
My goal as a tutor is simple: to make difficult concepts easier to understand and help students build confidence in their own abilities. Many students struggle with subjects like mathematics and electronics not because they lack intelligence, but because they were taught formulas and procedures without understanding the ideas behind them. In my classes, I focus on developing strong foundations, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills so students can apply what they learn beyond the classroom.
For Mathematics, I can help students with topics ranging from basic arithmetic and algebra to more advanced areas such as calculus, trigonometry, statistics, and engineering mathematics. I adjust my teaching style depending on the student's current level, whether they need help catching up, preparing for exams, or challenging themselves with advanced problems.
For Electronics and Engineering subjects, I can teach fundamental concepts such as circuit analysis, digital electronics, logic gates, Boolean algebra, semiconductor concepts, signals and systems, and computer hardware fundamentals. As an Electronics Engineer with experience in semiconductor research, I can also provide deeper insights into how these concepts are applied in real-world technologies such as processors, memory systems, and modern electronic devices.
I also offer Science lessons, including Physics and general STEM topics. My engineering background allows me to connect scientific theories with practical applications, making lessons more engaging and easier to remember. Instead of simply memorizing equations, students will learn how and why concepts work.
For English language learners, I can help improve communication skills, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence in speaking. As someone who has studied and worked in an international academic environment, I understand the challenges of learning and communicating in English.
My teaching approach is personalized and interactive. Every student learns differently, so I first identify their goals, current understanding, and preferred learning style. Lessons may include guided explanations, visual examples, practice exercises, real-world applications, and step-by-step problem solving.
As a former Student Assistant at the University of the Philippines Diliman, I have experience supporting university students in technical courses and helping learners understand challenging topics. I have also conducted tutoring sessions for students preparing for academic examinations.
