About me

Hello! I'm Ashley, a Chinese language teacher. I hold a master's degree in Chinese Language and Literature. Additionally, I used to be a soldier in the Chinese military, and now I work at an international school in Beijing. I am a multilingual learner—I can communicate fluently in both Chinese and English. Besides these, I also speak Mongolian, Manchu, and have basic knowledge of Russian and Korean. Recently, I’ve been learning German and Romanian. The world of languages is vibrant and fascinating. I believe that learning a language goes beyond mastering pronunciation and grammar—it also requires an understanding of the culture behind the language, which helps us deepen our learning and comprehension. I don’t see our relationship as one of teacher and student, but rather as friends. We should learn from and grow with each other.
