About me

Hello! I’m Zakariyawu Jibril Bagi. I’m a microbiologist, researcher, and teacher with a passion for helping people learn and grow. I studied Microbiology at the University of Abuja and later earned my Master’s degree in Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology from the University of Ilorin. I’ve been teaching for over 12 years, and one thing I really enjoy is helping students understand concepts that may seem difficult at first. Whether it’s Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or English, I like to explain things in a simple and practical way that connects with everyday life. Apart from teaching, I’m also passionate about microbiology and biotechnology research. My research focuses on using microorganisms to transform waste materials, especially chicken feather waste, into useful products through fermentation. I have worked on improving keratinase production using bacteria and exploring how biochar made from agricultural waste can support this process. I’ve also had the opportunity to contribute to health and community projects through my work with the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme and ANRiN, where I gained experience in teamwork, data collection, and management. I’m someone who enjoys learning new things, sharing knowledge, and supporting others in achieving their goals. I look forward to helping you learn, improve, and discover your own potential.
