Hi, I'm Xavi from Barcelona, I have a degree in Jazz Doublebass and a Master in Pedagogy for Musicians at ESMUC (The Catalonia College of Music). I also did an exchange at the Koninklijk Conservatorium (The Hague, Netherlands). I've been also playing the electric since I was 12. Currently, I'm teaching Electric bass, Upright bass, Improvisation, Theory, and Combo at the Conservatory of Terrassa. As a performer, I play every week in the Barcelona area and abroad. As your teacher, I will identify your level, and I'll make some exercises (I prefer to call them "games") to improve how you play in a time-effective manner for you. I want you to enjoy learning and to learn as much as possible efficiently, optimizing your time to accomplish your goals. Although I am focused on double bass and electric bass as a musician, as a teacher it doesn't matter the instrument that you play if you want to know how to play modern songs or to improvise. In the conservatory, I also taught classical players, such as harpists, flutists, pianists, trumpets and saxes, how to improvise and play modern songs. I know the language and I can teach it to you.
