I am Tomás Vernengo and I am 30 years old. I studied at the University of Buenos Aires. I have been teaching Spanish for 7 years in high schools and privately since I finished high school in 2011. I am a teacher who engages his students from the very beginning, offering them a holistic and personalized look at the language, the subject or the objective they are looking for. My priority is that the classroom space is the most effective for the student; that is, that what I teach is as close as possible to the goals that students pursue in their work, student life or simply for the pleasure of learning.
My classes usually have a brief time to catch up, to know what each one of us is doing and to liven up the atmosphere. Then I continue with a review or an introduction to the topic to be covered, followed by practice (exercises, reading, discussion, preparation of a particular work, etc.). At the end of the class I always end with a brief review so that each student can identify how much progress they have made and what key things they have left so that they can see their process in a timely manner, and then, depending on the class, some work for the students to practice at home.
Once the session is over, I send e-mails or messages with material that expands on things we have seen, or doubts that were outside the topic of the class specifically. For example, if the objective of the class was to differentiate verb tenses and a student asks me why there are two forms for the conditional type 3, I will surely send him a link to a page of etymology that explains it, etc.
