Hello! I'm Timothy, an English tutor with a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, a Master's in Education (English Language), and a PhD in English Language Education in progress. For over five years I've helped students and researchers write clearly, from essays and literature reviews to full dissertations. More than 30 of them have worked with me on their theses, and I've supported executives with reports and professional communication. So I teach English the way people actually use it: to study, to publish, to get hired and to do their jobs well. My lessons are practical and personal. We start with your goal (a stronger essay, a thesis chapter, a confident work email, or speaking without hesitation) and then work on your own material, so every minute counts. I explain the "why" behind each correction, so you stop repeating the same mistakes. I'm a language learner too (Chinese, elementary level), so I remember exactly how it feels to be a beginner.
