About me

My lessons are full of fun, laughter and interesting conversations about many different topics. I am a very supportive and kind person, so I care about my students and I want them to succeed and enjoy the lessons. I am very patient and kind. I welcome you to make as many mistakes as you like, because that is how I know what we must work on, so don't be afraid to make mistakes. I will never judge you or laugh at you. (Unless you make a good joke :) ) I am TEFL certified. I have a level 5 TEFL certificate. This stands for Teaching English as a Foreign Language. There are specific ways that we use to do this, to make the learning process effective and engaging. I have been teaching in Italy for 5 years. I use interesting and engaging materials that have been designed by teachers and educators specifially to teach foreign learners. They help you to practice reading, writing, listening and most importantly, speaking. I focus a lot of attention on speaking because that is the primary mode of communication and because most people read and write much better than they listen and speak.
