About me

Hello! My name is Stéphanie Ravet and I come from Clermont-Ferrand in the center of France. I have always felt passionnate about the English language. It allows to communicate with so many people on this planet! I got a Business degree which is the equivalent of a Master in 1996 and I went to Dublin in Ireland between 1995 and 2000. I exported computers on the German market. But I got tired of sales and the obsession in making money, I wanted to do something useful and social with my languages. So, in 2000, I decided to go back home and start giving tuition. So, I worked with different agencies such as Maths Assistance and Acadomia. In the meantime, I got a Bachelor in English studies in 2004. After that, I decided to work on my own and to put ads on the Internet. Because of the coronavirus and the lockdown, I have started giving tuition online. Now, I really love teaching English online. I've had students of different age groups. The youngest one was four, the eldest ones were retired. The main target is that the students make progresses and they have self-confidence. I never judge students, my job consists in helping the students with their difficulties. In 2019, I had a three-month teaching break because I went to San Francisco in the USA where I was the student at an English language school. I was in the C1 class which had the highest level. So, being a student in English can be fun too! Besides, the key of good English tuition is to adapt the course to the personal needs of a student. Personally, I had a lot of students who wanted to focus on grammar or English conversation. I also have retired people who wish to travel. I also help students prepare an exam. When I'm with a very young student, we play English games and sing English songs. English is fun!
