Silvia

Hi! My name is Silvia Favaretto and I am studying Law at the University of Bologna. Even though I am still a student, I already have some experience in tutoring. I participated in the school project "Help Junior," where upper-secondary students support younger students with their studies. Additionally, I am a member of my school's debate team, and I hold a Cambridge B2 certification in English. I was also selected as one of the twenty finalists in the EconoMia contest organized by the International Festival of Economics in Turin. Outside the purely academic realm, I have gained experience in teaching Italian. The "Cristina" Italian language school, organized by the 31021 association, targets a wide age group (18–60) and welcomed dozens of students in its first year. These experiences have allowed me to acquire a broad and diverse set of skills and knowledge, which I would now like to apply as I enter the working world. Having studied for several years, I firmly believe that effective learning requires a few key conditions. First, explanations should be clear and tailored as much as possible to the individual student. Using mind maps, diagrams, and digital tools is also a great help. Finally, I believe that reviewing content is most effective when done through questions or quizzes to avoid passive memorization. Understanding should go hand in hand with reflection and internalization to ensure the learning is truly meaningful. These are the principles I aim to base my lessons on. I am responsible, and hardworking, and I strive to put maximum dedication into everything I do, as I hope my resume demonstrates.
