About me

Hello! I'm Sandra, an English and Spanish teacher, with a degree in English Studies with a minor in Hispanic Studies from the University of Valencia (UV) and a Master's Degree in Teacher Training of Spanish as a Foreign Language from the University of Alcalá. I am passionate about languages and teaching: my personal brand is to help others to overcome their fears about learning languages and to enjoy the process. I define myself as a dynamic, outgoing and innovative person. I have been teaching private lessons to children and teenagers since 2017, I have also worked as a SFL teacher with adults in academies and penitentiary centres and I am now working as a Spanish teacher in a high school in Thailand. My students often describe my classes as flexible, dynamic, interesting and productive, but above all, they are useful for everyday life. My classes are focused on a communicative method and an action-oriented methodology. During the lessons, we will see the grammar and vocabulary that are useful to practice the uses of oral skills later on, always from a real context of the language. Therefore, during my lessons we will practise all the skills focusing on those oral skills which are useful in everyday contexts: we will simulate daily conversations, a visit to a restaurant, a doctor's appointment.... On top of that, we will use materials with relevant information in the form of written texts, songs, videos, audios and podcasts. Don't be afraid to start from scratch with me, I will help and guide you every step of the way to achieve a good level in the language you want to learn and to be able to hold fluent conversations. My classes are personalised and adapted to the level of each of my students, if you choose me as your teacher, we will focus on what you are really interested in practising.
