About me

About Me: My name is Romina. I live in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. I am a certified Professor with a rich 29-year career in education. My journey has taken me from Kindergarten classrooms to Tertiary levels, teaching in both schools and specialized language institutes. Throughout these decades, I have successfully guided students of all ages—children, teens, and adults—from absolute beginners to advanced proficiency. My Methodology: I believe that language is a living tool, not just a set of rules. My teaching is rooted in communication, experiential learning, and immersion. In my sessions, English is the medium through which we explore ideas and solve problems, making the learning process natural and engaging. What My Lessons Are Like: Conversational Focus: My classes are designed to get the student speaking. We focus on real-world contexts, integrating grammar naturally as it becomes necessary for the student´s expression. * The "Flipped Classroom" Model: To maximize our time, I send audio, video, or reading materials before our lesson. This allows us to dedicate our face-to-face time to deep conversation, building the student´s confidence and fluency. * Constructive Feedback: Every lesson concludes with a personalized debrief, where I provide corrections and insights to help the student refine his/her speech. * Ongoing Practice: After each class, I design bespoke grammar and vocabulary exercises based on our discussion to ensure the student consolidate what he/she has learned and reach the next level. I am always open to student´s interests! Student´s goals and topics of choice are the heart of our syllabus.
