Hello. My name is Randall Baker and I live in the Beautiful city of Cape Town in South Africa. For 32 years I worked on diamond mining ships which employed just under 100 crewmembers and officers. Since I was unofficially known as "The English Professor", it fell upon me to teach them English well enough to be able to communicate with the rest of the ship’s compliment as well as to their reporting structure ashore. This is how I discovered my talent and my love for teaching. My lessons were very popular and successful because I recognized the unique needs of each individual student and made them comfortable that, together we would achieve their desired level of English. This gave rise to my love of teaching to the extent that after retirement I pursued TEFL qualification, so that I may continue to share my love for teaching the English language. I went on to qualify to Teach on the teaching platforms like Native Camp; Preply and Amazing Talker while I explored which platform suited me best. So here I am now, to share with you my command of the English language and my love for teaching. English is a universal language which spoken on all the seas in the world and in all the skies in the world, since it is mandatory for your airline pilots and ships captains to communicate in English on certain channels. You have already taken the first brave step on your journey to mastering this universal language. It would be my honor to partner on this journey until you reach your goal – fluent English.
