Hi, my name is Peter, and I can help you speak fluently and confidently in English. - Can you read and write, but not speak in English? - Do conversations frighten you? - Do people simply speak too fast? - Can you “think” in English or are you always “translating”? If so, I want to help. I want to help you listen, understand, and then speak without hesitation in any situation. I am just finishing a Professional Teaching English Qualification. I live in London, UK. I have a clear neutral native British English accent. I worked as a Manager in Information Technology, Bookkeeping and Accounts. Giving presentations and public speaking was part of my job. I am trying to learn a language myself. I am learning Spanish and I know how hard it can be. My wife is from Ecuador, and I have a large extended Latin American family. Yes, they speak very fast. I will share my tips with you. I have experience tutoring students online from all over the world, and I am becoming adept at noticing the particular problems that people from different countries have with English pronunciation. I am most happy teaching Teens and Adults conversational English, and hearing you speak confidently. I can however, also deliver more formal lessons in the four skills of Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. I enjoy teaching Business and Scientific English as well. Our lessons begin by building a library of things to say. You tell me what topics you need to speak about, and we will learn together. We can talk about experiences and situations. You will learn about topics of polite conversation. English people love to talk about the weather and sports. We will practise what you will hear, and how you can respond. Are you learning English to live or work in the US? Don’t worry! Americans love the British accent, and you will hear them say “Gee, I just love your accent” if you learn with me.
