About me

Hey there! My name’s Pedro. I am an English graduate with an MA's in English Lingustics and Literature, currently working on my PhD dissertation. I have been living abroad (Leeds, UK) and done several language courses in the UK and Ireland. I also had a Grade B in Proficiency exam (C2). I have worked as an English teacher for over nine years, and I also teach Spanish as a Foreign Language. My methodology is based on trying to find a balance between grammar knowlegde and real language use, so as to be able to communicate things. Learning should not be seen as an obligation, so I try to encourage my students to take advantage of their hobbies (blogs, movies, books, music...) and use them to learn the language. My English classes are given in English, and my Spanish classes in Spanish, thus guaranteeing total contact with the target language, unless there is a specific request by the student or the level is to low to spend 100% of the lesson time using the second language.
