About me

I am a university student in my penultimate year of Chemical Engineering. I have been teaching private classes since 2017 when I was a high school student and since then I have continuously improved my teaching methodology. I initially started teaching my classmates until later I was able to work with people of all ages, modifying my teaching methods according to the characteristics of the students, making sure they enjoyed the process. Due to my upbringing in the United States and also being an engineering student, I have enough knowledge to teach a wide range of subjects, including mathematics, chemistry, physics and of course English. My classes are initially based on getting to know the students and learning about their interests and needs, keeping that in mind I can develop strategies to explain the material using their tastes and personality as a reference, ensuring that students maintain interest during the entire process. The general dynamic of the class consists of developing motivation and interest in the content to be studied, through practical and interesting applications of the material to be taught, followed by an exposition of theoretical concepts to improve long-term retention of the information. Then, example problems are solved so that students understand how to apply the concepts, until finally the class is closed by recalling the most important points presented in the class and asking the student about their thoughts on the topics covered. This strategy has given me excellent results over time, in this way, students can understand the importance and practicality of the concepts taught, and in turn develop confidence in their personal and academic abilities, reflected in a substantial improvement in their grades and abilities.
