Hello! I am Miriam, an experienced educator and Maths tutor with over 13 years of experience helping children and young learners understand difficult concepts, improve their skills, and become more confident learners. 😊 My Maths classes are friendly, practical, and adapted to each student's learning needs. I do not believe that every student should learn Maths in exactly the same way. Some students need concepts explained step by step, while others learn best through examples, practice, visual explanations, or real-life applications. In our lessons, I first get to know the student's strengths and areas where they need support. I then structure lessons around their learning goals, whether they need help with schoolwork, want to strengthen their Maths foundation, prepare for assessments, or simply become more confident with Maths. I teach primary and secondary school students and can support learners with topics such as arithmetic, fractions, decimals, percentages, algebra, geometry, word problems, measurement, and other school-level Maths topics. My goal is not just to help students get the right answer. I want them to understand why the answer is correct and develop the confidence to solve problems independently.
