My name is Marta and I've been teaching English & Spanish for 4 years. I began in Spain, then I taught children in the USA and years later, adults at Xavier University (Cincinnati, OH). Now I live in Italy where I teach Spanish and English to students of all ages at several schools. My teaching philosophy is basically teaching to love the language. In my opinion, the key is creating a safe and comfortable learning environment where mistakes are the only way to learn and having fun is the only method to apply. I always try to use real life learning resources (tv or radio shows, articles, photographies...) in order to show students how native speakers talk and interact and also, to discover all the cultural context behind all of that. Regarding the methodology, I let my students discover the rules by themselves, giving them the right tools. Besides that, I always adapt myself to their needs and interests: taking creative and interesting materials to the classroom so they can enjoy and forget that they are actually learning!
