About me

Hello, I'm Teacher Mark! With 10 years' experience teaching English to children of all ages, and having acquired a PGCEi qualification from University of Nottingham, I have built a career for myself as a respectable and effective teacher of English. My skills are especially in developing structured thoughts, putting those thoughts into words, and understanding the key rules which are the foundations for excellent communication in English. One-to-one lessons sometimes have a structure of their own, as I'm happy to amend my plans and materials according to the needs and knowledge of my students. Often lessons are slideshow based, exploring ideas maybe with videos for an alternative perspective. I have various worksheets prepared for grammar and reading comprehension activities, but you can be very much in control of your own learning! My greater experiences are with students aged 8-14, but my understanding of grammar and writing techniques is such that I could easily teach at more advanced levels, and teaching younger children would ensure that I give them a solid understanding of grammatical constructs, to present them with an exceptional foundation for continued learning in how to communicate well in English.
