About me

Hello! 😊 I'm Mía, I'm from Venezuela, and I am a graphic designer with a degree in Marketing. Spanish is my native language, and I love the idea of teaching it in a creative, warm, and real-life way. For about a year, I gained experience teaching Photoshop and drawing to teenagers. This experience allowed me to develop my ability to explain concepts, guide learning processes, and find different, fun ways to teach. 🎨 Now, I want to bring that experience into learning Spanish. In my classes, I want the language to be learned not just by memorizing words or rules, but by using it in everyday situations: talking about food, family, games, school, or emotions. I also want learning Spanish to be a small window into Venezuela. 🇻🇪✨ For example, while learning to talk about food, we can discover what an arepa is; and while learning new words and expressions, we can uncover a bit of our music, customs, and culture. Therefore, my focus will be especially directed toward students who already have a solid foundation in Spanish and are at an intermediate to advanced level. Likewise, I like working with images, drawings, games, stories, songs, and conversations so that students can relate words to real-life situations and enjoy them while they learn. My goal is for every class to be an opportunity to learn Spanish, experience a new culture, and feel increasingly comfortable using the language. 🌎💜
