About me

Hallo! This is Luis Salvatierra. I am from Ecuador where I studied Biotechnology. My current highest degree is a master in Marine Biotechnology which I studied in several european countries. As a professional I have developed skills in topics that involves the production of recombinant proteins, so you could say that microbiology and molecular biology are my strongest areas. In the past I taught molecular biology to first year medical students. Despite specializing in these fields, I actually have a wide interest over several topics, including those outside life sciences, although that knowledge I can only impart it to pre-university level. As a student and a professor I have realized about many things about teaching, and my goal and compromise to you is to not only work in your academical issues but in ensuring that you learn how to learn because at one point you might come to face challenges where no one else will be there to teach you.
