About me

Hi! I’m Luci, a TEFL-certified English tutor from South Africa with a degree in Communication Science. I’ve taught over 140 students at university and online, and I enjoy tailoring each lesson to your goals—whether it’s speaking, listening, pronunciation, or just feeling more confident in real conversations. I love creating lessons that are fun, relaxed, and totally focused on helping you speak English naturally and confidently. We’ll chat about all sorts of interesting topics—travel, food, work, media, culture—you name it. We’ll share stories, laugh, and learn in a way that feels completely natural. Mistakes? No problem, they’re just part of the process. My lessons include real conversations from day one, practical vocabulary, clear grammar tips, pronunciation, intonation, stress and rhythm practice, and prompts for speaking in groups of any size. I also use role-plays, real-life scenarios, news, and media tools to make learning enjoyable and progress feel real. When I’m not teaching, I’m hiking, singing, dancing, and learning languages myself—so I totally get the excitement and challenges of becoming fluent.
