Hello, my name is Lizzette and I am a Native certified English teacher with international teaching experience from New York. I have six years of teaching experience having taught in Primary, Secondary and Bachillerato in Madrid. I have given private lessons to students of all ages both in person and online. I have both a 120 hour TESOL certification and a Masters in International Education. In terms of my pedagogical approach, I employ conversation-based classes that foster interactive and engaging learning experiences. To assess comprehension, I select articles or videos as stimuli, prompting my students to discuss the subject matter while providing them with valuable feedback and corrections. Pronunciation refinement is a key focus, often accomplished through guided text reading exercises. I am dedicated to expanding my students' lexicon by introducing them to new vocabulary, as well as exposing them to commonly used phrases and idioms in English. Furthermore, I am open to supporting students in honing their professional skills, such as delivering presentations, reviewing emails, or providing constructive feedback on their written work. As a native Spanish speaker, my work and life experiences uniquely position me to provide invaluable assistance to Spanish-speaking learners of English.
