Leonilde

Hello! I am Leonilde, an English teacher with a degree in English languages and literature from the "Università Orientale" of Naples in Italy and a Master's degree in Comparative Literature from the Universidad Autonoma of Barcelona. I am Italian and have lived in the UK for more than ten years so I speak English bilingually and have an excellent level of written and spoken Spanish. While living in the UK I have taught in different schools and colleges and in the last 8 years I have taught English language and literature, marketing, and finance in different Italian public schools. During the Covid period, I have been teaching online, acquiring the necessary skills to keep the interest of teenage students during such a difficult period. Apart from having many years of teaching experience in a variety of classes I have patience and a very clear diction. My teaching style is very focused on the needs of the students and I create effective lesson plans based on the level of the student using my academic background to create an entertaining environment. Each lesson is task-based with specific learning objectives and I present each topic in the context of real life with a focus on grammar and vocabulary. During class, I only speak in English. Currently, I have been accepted for a PhD in Comparative Literature, and for this reason, I am looking for a job that allows me to combine study with work. I can teach English language, literature, and grammar at all levels either in person in Barcelona or online.
