I have 24 years of experience teaching piano and violin. I work with various modern and classical methods (Suzuki, Longshamps, Cofalik, etc.). My students learn solfège, musical language, and how to read tabs and chords quickly and without stress through musical games perfectly adapted to their age, development, and coordination. In a short time, they are able to reproduce melodies they like and even write them down on sheet music. We work on coordination and attention with rhythm exercises, using various methods, including the well-known Dalcroze method. Classes are taught in Spanish or English. My students range in age from 2.5 to 78 years old. I sometimes accept groups of 2-3 students, depending on their age. Twice a year we organize small concerts, as well as gatherings for my students, so they can enjoy music together and overcome stage fright (or share anecdotes about the teachers?). I've been very lucky to have had excellent teachers throughout my life; they served as role models, and I still collaborate with some of them and continue my professional development. I believe that teaching is a complex and responsible job that requires constant cooperation and good communication between teachers and parents. It's essential that parents are aware of their children's progress, homework, absences, and difficulties throughout the year. I always try to maintain good communication, explaining homework, new musical concepts, and instrumental qualifications. Sometimes it seems like the parents are taking another course in parallel; some even end up taking lessons and playing alongside their children! Lessons are charged according to time (30,45,60,90 minutes).
