I'm Karen, a certified English teacher living in sunny Spain. I love languages and enjoy helping people learn English. I've lived in different countries in Europe and Asia and see myself as a citizen of the world. My experiences have made me a better teacher and I enjoy helping students feel confident using English. I am multilingual in English, French, Italian, and Spanish, which allows me to connect with people from various cultures and improve communication. I'm learning Chinese, too, so I understand how hard it can be to learn a new language. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, reading, doing yoga, swimming and running. I also love music, anime and movies. I'm a professional Cambridge CELTA-certified English teacher with a Bachelor's degree in English and Chinese and a Master's degree in Translation from the University of Westminster, London. I also hold a C2 English proficiency certificate. I spent nearly ten years working and studying in England, which gave me a deep and natural understanding of English. With five years of teaching experience, I've taught young learners, high school students and adults. I've worked in academies and privately in Spain and given online lessons to students worldwide. I also studied in Beijing, where I improved my Chinese and helped Chinese students with their English. I have extensive experience preparing students for exams such as Cambridge PET, First, CAE, IELTS, and Aptis. On top of that, I can help with general English or professional English. My teaching method follows a communicative approach, where you'll learn the language through real communication and practice in natural contexts. In addition to teaching, I have experience in English, French, Italian and Spanish translation in various fields, including medical, technical, literary, business, and marketing.
