I am a second language teaching professional with 20-year-long experience not only as a teacher of English, German, Spanish and Basque but also as a language school coordinator, both in the Basque Country (Northern Spain), where I was born and I currently live. I have taught to both adults and young learners, in large and small groups and in one-on-one lessons. They were learning a second language because they were preparing for an exam, because they needed it in their professional careers, or just because they found it useful for travel or just as a hobby. I have taught in little language schools, in state secondary schools, per Skype and in-company. For that reason, I have always believed every class, every lesson and every student is different. They have different needs which we language teachers have to adapt to and cater for. I also think that language is meant for communication and that, as such, it can only arise from, and be learned through communication, which is why my lessons always involve communicative and real-life activities aimed at making the learning experience relevant, motivating and memorable. Even though I consider every lesson has to be unique, there is a series of things all my lessons have in common: Real spoken interaction with me, language practice for real-life situations, tips on how you can continue learning after our lesson and feedback on how I see your learning process is going. This is the way you can become more conscious of your own learning and eventually also more likely to make further progress. I am sure I am the sort of Spanish teacher you are looking for, as I have such wide experience, professionalism and passion for both language teaching and people. ¡Hasta pronto!
