About me

Hi! My name is Jerry, and I'm from the U.S. I grew up in California but lived in Texas for many years, so I have a clear Midwest accent. You won't have difficulties talking with me because I speak clearly and am friendly. Not only that, I am interested in YOU, not in hearing my own voice. That means you will have plenty of opportunities to use English in my classes. I am a full-time professional English language teacher of 20+ years and have been teaching online for 14 years. In addition, I am a professor of English composition (essay writing) with an accredited university in the U.S. I used to be a human resources manager of personnel and training (talent acquisition, interviews, hiring, onboarding, employee evaluations, etc.). Prior to that, I was a fitness trainer with my own fitness center, and before that I was a technical school instructor in the United States Air Force (a branch of the U.S. military). I specialize in adult, corporate, professional, and marketplace English language training. I've worked with clients from A (Airline pilots) to Z (Zoologists). My teaching style is eclectic, friendly, calm, professional, relationship oriented, and practical, with plenty of feedback and suggestions. As for my qualifications, I've completed studies in education, English teaching, corporate training, professional teaching, human resources management, and even paralegal work.
