About me

Hello, my name is Jacqueline Olivier. I have a Degree in Education from Rhodes University and a TEFL Diploma from i-to-i TEFL. I am a UK citizen, but am residing in South Africa. I have more than 13 years of teaching experience, teaching children aged from 5-14, in classrooms. For the last 18 months, I have been teaching English online to both children and adults. I am friendly and make an effort to help my students feel at ease in my classes. I feel it is necessary to adapt lessons to suit each learner's different style of learning. I prepare thoroughly for my classes and provide feedback. I believe that children learn easiest when they are enjoying themselves, for this reason, I make an effort to get to know what interests my students so that I can individualise my lessons. I look forward to working with you and celebrating your progress with you.
